A published author, a poet, a journalist, Palitha Ariyarathna was born and raised in Sri Lanka to Buddhist’s parents. Being Buddhist himself, he was taught the true value of life, peace and harmony. Palitha has overcome many challenges in life that has not only strengthened him, but has made him the man he is today.
Palitha has many talents that he is very proud of. He is a black belt first Dan (B.D.F.S) and member of the Sri Lanka National Karate Organization. He has spent many years as a swimming and karate instructor, leading many players to the National level. Palitha is a published author of numerous books that have been read by many around the world including the Sri Lankan government – who have received several of his publications. He is a certified life-guard from the Royal Lifesaving Society as well as a certified PADI Advance Open Water Diver – which only goes to show that there is nothing he cannot do.
Palitha Ariyarathna is a very dedicated and driven individual. His care and love for others is easily noticed by many of his colleagues, friends, and most importantly his family. He is a great social worker and a member several charitable organizations such as The International Associations of Lions Club.
Palitha has many interests, however his deepest passion is writing. He desires for his writings- whether it be through his published books, poems, and/or haiku’s, to impact the thinking and lives of those who like him, also desire peace, harmony and congruence within this world –saying, “I am a thinker, poet, writer and journalist…my works always reflects my clam spirit and spirituality.”
